Proposed Topics

Last night's meeting ranged over a wide variety of ideas on agile software from how to manage unit tests to offshoring to what goes wrong in sponsorship of these practices within companies. Out of it all emerged some ideas for the next time we meet:

Krishna volunteered to conduct a discussion on "Understanding the Segments Within the Indian Software Profession" This came from discussion about the differences between offshore software providers.

"Finding the Right People within a Company to Talk About Agile" The person suggesting this topic said that where he works they do some agile practices but it's a hit or miss affair and he'd like to see it led more effectively. How do you go about that when you're a programmer?

"How Does Lean Thinking Address the idea of IT as a Service Provider to the Company?" The idea here is that we have heard about Lean as applied to product companies, e.g. cars, ipods, etc. but IT provides a service and it's harder to measure.

Please see the wiki for next meeting details.

Please go to the wiki for details of time, place, and to let us know if you'll be coming.
