After a bit of chat on the ACCU mailing list some of us decided to get
together:

Nottingham meeting at the Canal House[*], 8pm on Monday 26th March 2012

Only agenda item is: planning future meetups.
Non-members, partners, etc. welcome.

I've just had an email from Adam Bird:

"I'm setting up a networking event for the IT industry in Nottingham called Nott Tuesday. I wondered if you'd be interested in coming on to the inaugural event on Tuesday 10th Feb.

I'm not in Nottingham at the moment, but if any of the regulars fancy going along and reporting back I'd appreciate it.

It seems that Monday's are a problem for many - only Mark signed up, and even he wasn't sure when he'd arrive.

What do people think of a more? I'll suggest Tuesday as that was popular earlier in the month.

I've just had an email from Rebecca Wirfs-Brock author of Object Design (see http://www.wirfs-brock.com/), she'll be working in Nottingham from Sep 8 to Sep
12.

I suggested that she might like to meet up with some agile software people one evening.

Would it be alright to suggest a Something In Nottingham for a Tuesday rather than the usual Monday?

Due to lack of time I originally posted Rachel's email without comment. I've now a little more time and am sure that I'll make the meeting.

I've asked before, but I'll ask again: what do people want from these meetings? What will make them come along and bring others? Based on the early sign up for this meeting a celebrity guest might be just the thing.
